Pastor Tim Walker is the product of a proud heritage of Christian Pastors. Having grown up in the home of a Pastor, Rev Tommy Walker, he learned the value of being prepared to present the Word of God and the message of Salvation at anytime. Pastor Tim presents the word in a manner that is uncompromising to the true meaning and original intent of the writers of the scriptures.
Having studied Greek and Hebrew you would think his message would be presented with complexity, but you would be wrong. Having 4 children Pastor Tim has learned to paint word pictures that make the scriptures explode with insight and understanding that would have been reserved for the great story tellers of our time.
Pastor Tim has a heart for people. As much as we the members of Church Alive enjoy his teaching and preaching, what touches us the most is his love for the people. Pastor Tim takes time to speak with everyone who comes forward to ask him questions whether it be in either of the Sunday or Wednesday services.
Pastor Tim started his ministry as a Worship Leader and later served as an Associate Pastor at Faith and Victory Church in Winterville, NC for a total of 12 years. As the preaching anointing started to manifest Pastor Tim answered the call becoming a traveling Minister. He spent the next 6 years serving on staff as well as traveling full time throughout the United States and 16 nations of the world. He has been involved in television and radio ministry, and has preached over 400 extended meetings, including revivals, crusades, conferences, and Camp-meetings covering 34 states and 16 foreign countries. From 1995-2000 Pastor Tim averaged preaching over 300 times per year. As a gifted singer and musician he has ministered at two World’s Fairs, on TBN, the Word Network and several other national religious programs, along with numerous churches and auditoriums.
Tim preaches and teaches under a strong anointing seeing hundreds saved and filled with the Holy Spirit yearly. His services are frequented by the overwhelming presence of God. These revival services are characterized by the fresh outpouring of the Holy Ghost and are accompanied by notable healing, deliverance’s, and various demonstrations of the Spirit.
In July of 2000 Pastor Tim felt led of the Lord to launch a ministry in Cleveland, OH. Beginning with just 17 faithful partners Church Alive was planted on October 8th, 2000, holding its first services in a park shelter. As Pastor Tim said in the first service, "We don't own a mic, drums or even a keyboard. We have nothing but a Word from the Lord!"
Soon Pastor Tim and his wife, Mimi, along with their four children, Jimmy, Joy, Gabriella, and Andrew, left North Carolina and moved to Brunswick Ohio to lead the blossoming congregation. After meeting in several hotel locations for nearly 2 years, God blessed Church Alive with an amazing piece of property with highway frontage on the I-480 bypass and exit access. Today, after just 6 short years Church Alive has grown to more than 100 families and continues to be a rapidly growing, multi-racial community of believers focused upon extending the Kingdom of God throughout the Cleveland area and around the world.
Pastor Tim has a heart to help other Pastors, Evangelists, Missionaries and anyone sensing the call of God into the 5-fold ministry. Church Alive currently provides spiritual covering to several churches and ordained ministers.
